Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) was introduced in December, 2004 at office of the Principal Accountant General (A&E) through which GPF subscribers and Pensioners can obtain relevant information round the clock over phone. 

 Telephone Number for IVRS: 040-23231212.

The following information can be accessed by the GPF subscribers:

  • GPF information by all the State Government employees except class-IV employees (whose accounts are not being maintained by AG)

  • Balance at credit as on date

  • Current year’s Debits

  • Missing Credits and Sanctions received without corresponding Debits

  • Status of Final Withdrawal case i.e., (Received / under process/ Authorized and dispatched/ Pending for want of information from the department/ Case returned without finalization)

Common steps to be followed to access the IVR System:

Step 1: Dial 040-23231212.  This will connect to IVR System and a welcome message “Welcome to Pension and GPF information system of Accountant General (A&E)  AP”  will be played by the system.

Step 2: Press Star Button when requested by the system.

Step 3: Choose a language (Dial 5-for Telugu, 6-for English, 7-for Hindi)

Step 4: Choose enquiry type (Dial 5 for Pension, 6 for GPF)

 Steps to be followed for Pension enquiry (If the caller’s option is 5 i.e., Pension enquiry):

Step 1:   If you know the IVRS no. dial 5 .Enter your Pension IVRS number. If the IVRS No is correct dial 5 otherwise dial 6 --it gives you the opportunity to correct wrongly entered IVRS No. After knowing the status of your pension papers, if you desired to listen the status again dial 5 else Dial 7 for exit.

After dialing option 7, if you want to communicate any other information then dial 5 or else dial 6 for exit.

Options to recorded messages: To listen the recorded message -dial 5,

      To erase the recorded message --   dial 6,

      To change the recorded message —dial 7,

      To store the message in the system—dial 8.

Step 2: If you do not know the IVRS no., a message can be recorded in the system by Dialing 7

System prompts for Name of the pensioner, Department, District where retired and Date of Birth; after completion dial 5.

Your enquiry   about the pension will be recorded. After that,

To listen recorded msg-dial 5,

To erase yr msg--   dial 6,

To change yr msg—dial 7,

To register yr msg—dial 8.

Steps to be followed for GPF enquiry (the caller’s option is 6)

After selection of GPF option

Step 1:  Dial GPF Account Number.

System repeats the GPF Account number for confirmation of GPF No—Dial 5(If the dialed Account number is correct) or Dial 6 to re-dial the GPF Account number.

Step 2: When prompted for Department code. ---Dial 5 if you know the Department Code, else dial 6. System will prompt the possible departments based on the GPF number dialed.

If Date of birth is available in the system, system prompts to enter the Date of Birth.

If Date of birth is not available in the system, it prompts to furnish DOB through DDO concerned)

If password is set by you in the system, system prompts to enter the password.

Step 3:

GPF Menu----Dial 4 for Closing balance enquiry

                        Dial 5 for Current year Debit

                        Dial 6 for Missing Debit   

Dial 7 for Missing credit

(Again If you want to listen the details of GPF, dial as below

 For Missing Credit --dial 5

 For Information about your Closing balance,    current year debits, missing debits, final withdrawal--dial 6

and for Exit--dial 7

Any Other message to be recorded—dial 5, Else 6.

To listen recored msg-dial 5,

To erase yr msg--   dial 6,

To change yr msg—dial 7,

To register yr msg—dial 8.

                        Dial 8 for Final withdrawal

                        Dial 9 for change of password or register password.
